1.)Since many people are still using 28.8 modems and one wants his/her site to download reasonably fast, what is the general number of frames one should limit a koolmoves flash film to.
2.)Doesn't a front loader just add to the film and make the download slower?

Preloaders are designed to be small so they should have minimum impact. I believe that if one is clever one can daisy chain the movies using load movie action so a significant size of animation can be presented.

If you keep the size down to 50-70K chunks it should load pretty fast. The experts suggest that you keep web page elements down to around 50K. 100K would not be a horribly long download time.
