A few minor ideas..but I think would be useful...

First
I like how I can use the arrow keys to move objects... would there be a way to use the arrow keys in conjunction with ROTATE and SCALE? it is hard to get the rotation exactly where I want it.

Second
Would there also be a way to add a option that would match the movie size to the contents... rather than manually playing with the width and height?

Third
The option of a different color array than the circle with blocks... I would prefer a grid based chart with colors ranging by RGB value, similar to the windows advanced color pallet.

The ability to trace JPGS would be nice too... Im lazy and dont want to convert it to bmp :) :) :)

Bob- keep up the great work! Other than sprites in Swish 2, I dont see why ANYONE would pick it over KM!

-> Richard, my partner, has been asking for rotate and scale to a value for a year. His requests seem to go to the bottom of the pile. I will implement it that way.

-> This seems a bit ambiguous since sometimes things are drawn off stage. I would think that people usually start with the size of the movie and then draw to fit that area.

Third

-> The color wheel is quite original in that it has all the reds with the reds and blues with the blues, etc. Richard went through many iterations in the design. It stays unless there is a great outcry.

-> I will add to the list.

Bob, Perhaps you could liscense your color wheel to Microsoft- Then the two would be the same :D Seriously I prefer your color wheel to the one cloned from Flash used in other tools.

This is my wish list...

1. Vector export. WMF or EMF or something. This would add value to KoolMoves by not only making it a replacement for Drawing apps like Metafile Companion and other such tools.
2. Edit Bitmap (already on the list) with preselected image editor.
3. Intergrated Frame controls- Reduce the number of Frame tools by combining the interfaces.
4. Cut, Copy, and Paste Frame actions in the sound and actions would be nice.
5. Cut and paste along the score. Make the score "hot" and when you select a frame on it it takes you to that frame and shape or when you select a shape on it it takes you to that shape and selects all frames with it.
6. Spinners on the X and Y position of the Text effects and Insert Movie interfaces.

- Down the road (Listed in order of importance):

1. SWF Import
2. Sprites/ Movie Clips
** The sooner you can implement these the better**

3. 3D Faces
4. Action Scripts.
5. Way down the road (V 3.5 or so) I would like to see AVI Import/Export, MNG Import/Export, and SVG Import/Export.

-> I started work on it.

2. Edit Bitmap (already on the list) with preselected image editor.

-> Will do.

3. Intergrated Frame controls- Reduce the number of Frame tools by combining the interfaces.

-> Not inclined to do but will add more frame editing functionality to the other popups. There is a place for a simple and small frame editing popup. The problem with frame editing functionality on the Sounds and Actions popup is several fold: frame editing requires multiple selection but sounds and actions prefers single selection. A tree control (list of frames) allows name editing but a list box report style (sounds and actions) does not. I will try to work it out.

4. Cut, Copy, and Paste Frame actions in the sound and actions would be nice.

-> Addressed above.

5. Cut and paste along the score. Make the score "hot" and when you select a frame on it it takes you to that frame and shape or when you select a shape on it it takes you to that shape and selects all frames with it.

-> I plan to do this.

6. Spinners on the X and Y position of the Text effects and Insert Movie interfaces.

-> Implemented but not tested yet.

The colour-wheel is great.

Plugging a personal wish ..

.. It would be awesome if there was a way to store some "custom colours" (and gradients) on the wheel.

BTW, we have decided (after evaluating every flash movie creator we could get our hands on) to make KoolMoves the development tool of choice. This follows on a decision to incorporate flash/shockwave into all sites.

Koolmoves was chosen for ease and speed of use, and because we encountered a great deal of the willingness to help.

Initially five sites will get the facelift, using KoolMoves, and then others after a small wait to evaluate reaction.

-> I'll check out the space and layout issues.

-> Let us view the facelifts when you are finished.

Okay, will do. :)

LOVE THE BONES!

I did in fifteen minutes what took ages before, giving movement to a figure. Still have the fine tuning to do, but man, this makes a proposed flash cartoon soooooooooo easy.

I am rapt.
