I am testing out FLASHWIZ, the .SWF screensaver producer.
I would like to be able to call a javascript function but, cannot get it to read the HTML. So, will I have to use FSCommads? Or is it not possible.
Also, is it really creating a screen saver or a projector file?

Javascript commands are only good in web browsers- As far as using a FSCommand it is possible but not recommended becuase you would have to do some Active X scripting.

I got your screensaver...very good!!! It is not quite what I was looking for though. I have no problem creating links to an html page. I want to be able to use javascripting to perform a shaking effect. But you need the browser window to do it. And screen savers do not open in browser windows! It will be a simple fix though. I will just alter the SWF to shake side to side. simulating the javascript command. Only this will make the file larger.Although only a little I guess.

chad... you have a name that is also an object... anywasy,,, you can make the effect or "forge" it in the actuall movie... jus shake the objects in the .fla file... the user will never know... and the file size will be mich less... no? thanx for tha compliment... love ta see yours when finished....

There would be no .FLA file and the file would be slightly bigger Chad. What you are going to do is Create a new Frame- Select all, set your tweens to a low number. and Move it forward then append that frame and movie it to the left and keep going with it.
When KoolMoves 2.5 comes out you can Import the SWF as an Object and then move the Object Marker back and forth. The file would still be about the same size.
If you own Flash you could Create a Movie Clip and then import Target that Clip with the Load Movie action. Then you would be able to script the shakes with actionscripts. In this case there would be an .FLA file and this would be a smaller file but would involve you using a mathmatical formula inside an Actionscript to move your MC.
