(I tried posting this several times over the past 3 hours to the thread started by RAMWolff "Hi, I'm new here and...." but was unable to do it so I'm starting this new thread.)

The Xara web page I pointed to earlier in this thread regarding your question about published info concerning the .xar file format is connected to the “Flare” format mentioned below by Thomas Sorrill.
Thomas.Sorrill ( thomas@xara.com ) is an employee of Xara Ltd. and an administrator of the TalkGraphics form which Xara Ltd. now owns.
Thomas said, in part......”If KoolMoves implements the Flare format, it would allow the import of .xar files. The only problem is that features such as the bevels, shadows, and brush strokes would not be supported.
On the other hand, implementing Flare import would get them about two-thirds of the way there.”
Thomas also said,.....”I'll pass this discussion on to the rest of Xara and see if we can't find a solution.”
