Flash 6 has the ability to interact with webcams and audio mic....

can this be done in KM environment using the flash 6 player?

I know the AS level for KM is 5, but is there a way to do this? If so, does anyone have any examples?

I am looking to have a flash file start recording when clicked, then send the file via email when stopped.

It just so happens that i remember MM press release from about a week ago saying that they just released this: http://www.macromedia.com/desdev/mx/flashcom/

Also see this FAQ: http://www.macromedia.com/support/flashcom/ts/documents/presalesfaq.htm#what_is

Before aproaching this you would need to find the way this is done in Flash MX and you would also need the Flash Player 6 spec (Niether of which really apear to be published although how to control Mic and Video from Flash MX may be published by now... It apears that you have to use a MM server for it to be of any use)

To play with video Locally I found this documentation:

http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/local_imbedded_video.htm

Also a side note on the Non-Focus not catching events problem...

http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/onkey_handler.htm

It is a change in the Flash Player itself.

Again until MM Publishes the SWF 6 spec you can't be for sure.
