not Flash Video but its Video

ok...i need to know what all do i know for editing a movie...i have to add sounds...effects...cut scenes..rearrange scenes. etc..everything that needs to be done in the editing process...
The hardware required...the software required....everything...

All i have is a VCR....the rest please do let me know..

plus..if something special required for:
i have to first convert the movie from NTSC to PAL and then edit it and then back to NTSC.....

Try http://www.vcdhelp.com you will find lots of helpful stuff.

It all depends how much you have to spend. I use G4 powerbooks and Power Macs. Adobe Premiere and After Effects+Plug-ins(you can get lots of awsome plug-ins from effects to sound and unwanted noise removal), Cleaner(you can get charger and super charger to increase speed and allow aditional control over MPEG-2), an anolouge to DVconverter(there are several out there, try dazzle's DV-bridge maybe) unless you have a broadcast video with composite vid in/out ports, S-video etc.

You have to be abit more specific and know how far you will want to take it. Goto the url above and you will get lots help though.
