Hi,

I've recently purchased 3DFA and downloaded v4 Beta 2. I am very happy with the product, but am grappling with a few things I'd like to achieve.

For instance, is it possible to achieve the moving of a path element (preferably by making it follow another path). If not, is this a feature that may be added to 3DFA in future?

The reason for this question, is that I am trying to make a group of objects follow one main path, while objects in the group follow their own smaller paths. (e.g like having a canoe move accross the screen while a paddle makes its own movement within that larger path.)

Thanks in advance

Hi again,

:(

Sorry for being an idiot. I just answered my own question by playing around some more.

The trick is obviously to put the smaller paths and the objects into a sub-movie and animate that within the main movie.

Thanks anyway.

Hi,

I'm still having a problem. When I place text elements and paths in a child movie, and move the text elements along the paths, the result when playing the main movie is not as expected. The moving elements do not maintain their correct relative positions with respect to other elements in the child movie, and the positions seem to depend on where the child movie object is on the main movie canvas at any given time. This means that if I try to move the child movie itself along a path in the main movie, things go really crazy.

Is this a possible bug, or is there some aspect of absolute/relative positioning that I'm not doing correctly?

Please help.

Thanks in advance.
