ive just created a website and im having an absolute nightmare with quicktime movies (.mov). All i want to be able to do, is for the users of my website to click on a link and open my .mov files.

However when this happens, Flash loads an empty white page with quicktime embedded in the middle. When you click on the link, i would just like it to open the movie within the actual quicktime player.

Now, this may seem like the stupidest question on earth, but alas it is absolutly doing my head in. Ive asked the jolly little people on the quicktime messageboard and they seem adamant that this is impossible. Personaly, i think they are lying because they hate me or something.

If you don't want the .mov file to popup in a new blank page you'll need to include some javascript in both your html page and the flash movie to have it come up seperately and with window control via a popup. Othewise, you'll just get a default method depending on the browser, which is not very predictable.

I doubt the QT board folks hate you - they probably just don't understand what you want to do.
