I have been doodling with this face for about 30 minutes but was wondering if anyone had any tips on creating eyes and nose holes? Here's what I got so far.

A few tips on faces...
Eyes are not bright white.
If the eyes are bright white they seem closer to viewer and not proportioned to the face.
If you use glare on eyes use it around the iris and pupil [colorful parts of the eye].
This is for the before mentioned reason.
Nostrils [nose holes or *marble holders] should be a darker flesh tone because they are part of the flesh.
Any stark color in contrast of the flesh tone will look like a feature on the face instead of in the face [as nostrils are].
Just a sugestion...
Build up the nose with shadow [again flesh tone] to create depth.
The "unfinished" nose looks a little flat.

*NOTE*: Do not stick marbles in nose... I repeat, "Do not stick marbles in nose.

A darker flesh tone on the nostrols would seem better. I always tried shades of black for this and it always looked like it stuck out too much (although shades of black would be fine for some but not really when using lighter colors). Thanks for the tip. :D

You seem to have the tones down well though nice example!
