I thought it was you who said but I could be wrong (may have read it some where and can't find it now). Is there a limit on how many frames a flash file can go up to? If so, what is this limit? Tried searching macromedia but couldn't find it there either.

Thanks. If it freezes at 16000, does it start to slow down that you know of (like at 12000 or something)?

True !
You'll need a huge amount of RAM for a movie with thousands of frames.

You also have limits of 16,000 Symbols and 16,000 Movie Clips.
There is also a cap on how many actions that can performed at once.
As you increase any of these things you use up more resources. Once you use up a machines resources it affects performance and may freeze the machine on the way up to using all the resources, the more resources it uses it typically slows down the machine that much. You don't really need more than 16,000 Symbols or clips to freeze a movie. Simply Dump in 40 or 50 1-2 MEG JPGS and convert them to symbols and create 60-70 frames of that.
16000 frames will freeze a machine without using all the resources. Why is the 16000 frame limit sucha big deal?
One of the much aclaimed, by Macromedia, features of Flash MX is video. However assuming that youer video is at 24 FPS (Not teh best quality BTW) you can only use 11 Minutes of Video in a Flash Presentation on an Imaganary Optimal Machine (Meaning it has enough RAM and CPU Power) before the Flash Player can handle no more.
More realitically you can only expect 5-6 Minutes of Video (Or Less) from the Flash Player.
