They will have a script for full screen windows somewhere. I may try and find the exact one that will work. Also needed is the code to make the swf full window size.
You can search for it here.
Search FlashKit Forums (http://www.flashkit.com/board/search.php?)
(make certain
I know I stumbled across it last night.

Thanks Docree,
Sorry, I should have made myself a bit clearer, my fault, I am not using the flash in a HTML page just the .SWF file on my computer which was created by KM, I don't want the title bar at the top of the screen to be visible.

Sorry for any confusion.

Kind regards

Clive

P.S. I will try your links, thanks

I'm not quite sure if there is a script for this or not but what you could do is make your flash file into a screen saver and make the screen saver stretch to full screen. I use gypsee to make screen savers but there is also other swf to scr programs out there. Hope this helps. :)

Thanks Flashpulse,

I am currently using a program written by Peter Harrison © 2000
http://www.timeless.co.zw/ to open my .SWF file at full screen but the title bar at the top of my screen is still visible, the code fscommand ("fullscreen", "true"); works in Macromedia Flash 5 but my complete project is created with Koolmoves with 30+ .fun files. I am sure there would be some small code out there which would work but I have a limited time to find it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.:)

Kind regards

Clive

Hey webtech2000, will there be any chance that KM users will be able to see what you have created?

You will still need a FlashPlayer to play the SWF regardless of what tool you create the SWF in.

If you are using the Flash Projector then the Fullscreen FSCommand is the way to do it.

The free Version of FlashToolset http://www.flashtoolset.com/FTS/download.html (Version 1.1 is the Freebie) Can convert to a Projector and there is a tutorial here at Flash Kit that will let you make Projectors of Flash 4, 5, and 6 http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/Projector/Flash_Pl-Johnie-818/index.php

Thanks,

Flashpulse, the KM navigation interface will be free but the 150+ instructional videos on how to use your computer and other software programs will cost the end user. I started a video tutorial on KM but Bob changed the layout, not that I am complaining, KM is the best program by far.
If you want I can email you once my project is complete and you can download the .SWF file “free”.

Hi johnie,
Long time no see/chat,
I have already use the Flash Toolset, I have just had another idea which may just work.

Thanks again

Clive

That would be great webtech2000. I like viewing other peoples work. You can find my email in the profile or on my site. :)

What it boils down to is that you must have a FlashPlayer to play SWFs. Both the Real and QT Players can also play SWF files. You must have something to play the Flash (A projector file includes a Flash Player in it) file in order for the end user to be able to use your work.

Now you can use OLE/Active X (Its the same thing more or less) to embedd the Player on Windows and there are solutions that Utilize either Gecko + Netscape Player or QT/Real to handle the SWF for cross Linux/MAC/Windows solutions - Runtime Revolution allows you to make standalone cross platform presentations.

There are actually a lot of solutions out there and many that are free. Modifying a regular projector with an application like resource hacker would be free as would downloading a Flash projector and just draging SWFs into it (unlocks projector menu and allows you to make projectors without really downloading anything besides 1 projector file which may be on your machine already as the new Windows tours are Flash projectors). Likewise embedding the Flash Player inside your own application would also work (This requires a Free license from MM BTW).

Another cheap and effective solution is MMB www.mediachance.com as it both extends the abilities of the Flash Player or can be used by itself to create CD ROM presentations without another tool. QT is also cost effective if you know Java (Extending the Flash using QT JAVA) and a little XML (To mask the QT Player anyway you want even full screen or transparent) but QT is not so user friendly by itself (Typically you would by a helper app), only has 10% market share, and is large comparitivly.

Finally you get into the specialized projector applications to extend the Flash Player. These typically come in 2 flavors...

1. MM Projectors embedded in another program that extends the functionality of the flash projector player.

2. The Flash Player embedded into a custom app to extend the Flash Player.

These apps run from $0- hundreds of dollars with $100-$120 being the average price.
