1. From the Webmaster
================================================== ==================
It's issue three, and it's late at night as I try and rush this newletter
out! The response to these newletters has been great, but if you have
any comments, suggestions, ideas or flames, send to them to me at my email
address below.
Its been another tough week on the front, and we are getting closer and
closer to our goal of setting up on our new Sun solaris MEGA :) server, but
like everything we are always discovering little bugs that need to be fixed.
This move will speed up the site considerably, a welcome boost for us all!
We also have been working on our new interviews section, with 4 interviews
ready to hit the site, and we have been working on our online chat pages
as well!!!
I'm off to see Pitch Black tonight, so I'll ramble on about it next week.
Till then enjoy this issue, and take care.
Regards Mark Fennell

5. Ramble
================================================== ==================
This is a ramble about an unfortunate incident that happened
to me a few weeks ago on our way back from Flash Forward 2000 on our
stop over in Singapore.
The Flash Kit webmaster (ie me) had been out on the town in singapore
(after having some issues getting used to the price of the beer there -
16 dollars a bottle!!!!!) with some of the folk from the Comdex Asia
conference.
It had been a big night, and I made it back to the hotel in no sober state
one could almost go as far to say I was a blithering mess ;)
I was sharing a room with Steve, and I crawled in and fell promptly asleep.
About 2 hours later I awoke, with the need to go to the bathroom that
only a lot of drinking creates! In my infinite wisdom (still very drunk) I
managed to walk out the front door instead of walking into the bathroom.
Ooops. So there I am, standing in my boxer shorts, dying to use the
bathroom, and bashing on the door! (It was one of those open plan hotels
here you can see every other floor and the lobby down the bottom!!!)
To fill you in, Steve is the heaviest sleeper, and the loudest snorer I have
ever heard. With each snore my bladder became even more pained.
I bashed, and I rang, and I knocked, waking up the neighbours,
and drawing the attention of the cleaners and hotel staff.... fearing that
the hotel management may not have seen the humour in the situation,
I knocked harder, 30 minutes after locking myself out, I heard a muffled
"what?"...
"let me in!!! Let me in!!!"
I screamed, doubled over in pain by this stage...
Steve agonisingly slowly opens the door, I bowl him over in my rush to the
bathroom....
Relief!! And I very sheepishly crawl back to bed, much to the amusement of
Steve.
{NOTE FROM STEVE, YOU HAD TO HAVE BEEN THERE :), BUT I HEARD HIM AFTER ABOUT
5 MINUTES :) }
