What I am looking to do is have thumbnails of photos on a web page, and when you click on a particular thumbnail the bigger photograph is displayed in the center of the page. An example of what I am trying to say is at:

I don't know what's it's called to be able to do that and I want to know can KoolMoves do it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Denver is a really great place. I am originally from England but have lived in Denver for 20+ years now.

Thank you again for your file. I have to admit I have no clue how to make it work for me. Did you make it in KoolMoves?

I have noticed there are a lot of tutorials and I was thinking if I could see how the basics work that I could figure it out. What is it called when you mouse over and the larger photo appears somewhere on the screen?

The file is all koolmoves. Change anything you want. I do not know what exactly your after but I could try to create something basic that you could add on to. But you will have to learn by doing it.

The floating arrow was created by the moderator Johnie and I did the rest. Try going to Koolsource as that is were a lot of my files are. They are pretty simple. You can go to Necromathus.com for more advanced types. I also learned from doing the flashkit tuutorials which were written for flash 5 and flash MX, but the theroy is the same.

Clicking on a button to load a jpeg file is an example of "event handling". KM has some built in event handling capability that makes creating buttons and menus a snap.

Some things to do to learn Koolmoves and help you modify TMoore's menu:

1) Go through the help file in order to learn the KM vocabulary. It's a quick way to review the available features and underlying philosophy. I recommend printing it out and working your way through the stack.

2) Study the example files, motion scripts, sample buttons, etc that came with the KM install.

3) Study the tutorials and sample downloads (KoolSource et.al.)for specific examples of what you want to do (like clicking on buttons to load jpegs, menus etc.).

At this point, you'll have some specific questions.

4) Review/search past posts in the forum.

For advanced capabilities, which you probably won't need for making a menu/gallery, you would go into Actionscript programming. There have been past posts on recommended texts, and websites covering Object Oriented Programming.

Outside the scope of KM however is the editing of the thumbnail and large jpeg files, editing of sound files, etc. There have been several posts regarding this (size, loading and quality issues, what software to use, etc), you may want to search the forum and review them.

Hope this has been helpful.

Have a look here (http://80.32.226.207/leybol2/index.html) and go to any of the product links ("Muebles" is probably the best). Sorry it's in Spanish. It's a page I'm working on at the moment, , The images are rollovers using button states but it can be easily modified if it's what you are looking for. Cheers
