Last ditch effort on a counter

I have up-graded my server to handle and read PHP so that I could use Mecromanthus' hit counter. but I still can't make it do anything but display the number 1000000. He said in a response on this site, that I did it correctly and so I kept on trying. Now I have doubts that my site can read these files even though I am certainly paying my host for it.
So for another contribution to saving the whales, and if you still have the ftp information I sent to you 2 weeks ago, I would really like to see your counter work, I will Place a file called "Counter" on the same page as my web site's index.html page. If you would be so kind, please insert your counter codes and folders on this page to show me, for the last time how it's done.I will put it in it's own folder called " Necromanthus "

I have been trying to reply for a while now but this site has been so busy, it wouldn't accept my reply, so I'll do it here directly.

Yes, you have made Dick very happy. I have been working with this most of the night, and now I know that it DOES work and my site can now read PHP script. I am now working on a way to reset the counter to zero and to insert it into an existing KoolMoves movie. Necro, you are my hero and mentor and I am eternally grateful, and you are a nice guy also.
