New dude here. At times (that's the worst part!), when I add motion to a frame, that particular frame disappears when I preview the movie. I take off the motion and it comes back in the preview... OK--this just addded: When I copy that frame a couple of times, it appears. Is it that adding motion requires additional frame copies? If that is the case, why doesn't the fram "extend" automatically when motion is added? Sup!??!

I assume you are referring to motion script effect applied to an object. You are probably correct in assuming that more frames are required. Motion scripts run on their own timeline.

Thanks Bob. You're a champ. What about making a global color change on those predone web interfaces? Although they can have various color/gradients involved, is there a way to affect a global change on a specific color?

You can change the color of a specific shape globally. Symbols can not have their color changed globally, however, a gradient fill for a symbol can be changed globally.
1) Select the shape you want to change,
2) In the Shapes menu set Selection Scope to All Frames,
3) If there are more shapes w/ the same color on the current frame that need to be changed globally, in the Shapes menu click on Select Same Color,
4) In the Properties Color field, select the new color, and
5) Authorize changes to more than one frame.
Check out Chapter 2 in the User Guide for drawing tips.

I believe that bringing a web interface in by using File > Insert KoolMoves Movie provides the color palette at the bottom of the preivew window which can be changed by individual color.

If you use File > Insert KoolMoves Movie, don't forget to adjust the Movie Height/Width. I recommend opening the Web Interface normally in a second KoolMoves session, and get the Height/Width info from there.

I've added a blank frame to the beginning and added a stop command to the last frame. Is this what you wanted? You may need to reattach the jpg file.

YES! 1) Why do you need a blank frame at the beginning? 2) Why doesn't the last frame play? Why do you need a stop command?

1) The Macromedia Flash Player can (usually does) skip the first frame, so the first frame is usually blank or a copy of the 2nd frame's visual elements.
2) When the movie loops, the last frame has no tweens (think about it - no transition so no tweening) so effects won't kick in. Either add a copy of the last frame (if you want the movie to loop) or add a stop command so the effects will execute.
If you increase the length of the movie and want it to loop, delete the 2nd copy of the end frame, or it will execute twice after new frames are added to the end.
3) From your issues file: Regarding changes reflected in second text object, a text object copied to a different frame remains linked to the source text object, so changes to either one affects both copies. An exception occurs when the copy is pasted to the same frame as the original - no link exists. So copy the original text box, paste it to the same frame, then delete and paste the second text box to the destination frame. This also applies to copying buttons.

Having a bit of trouble with the lingo. I will redouble my efforts. I may rear my ugly head again soon, but can do a lot with this info. Thanks again pherbrick.
