Need (Actionscript) Advice

Actionscripting is very new to me! I've hit the learning curve wall! I know it's mostly me not use to this knowlege and terminology but maybe some of you can point me in the right direction.

It's mainly the Actionscripting I need help with. I've been pretty much doing video production with Vegas software. I want to build a website where I can put demos of my videos and service on the site.

I want to use load varibles for navigation buttons on my site and create a media player but i don't know how to put the actionscript together. I also want to crate a slide where you can slide threw pictures by pushing a button. Here is an example of some of the things i want to do on my site.

Now I can create a video of pictures that looks just like that with Vegas! I can also save as a .SWF file and import it in Koolmoves but I want to be able to control it. Such as starting it with a play button and stop button. I know I can create this with Koolmoves but as I was saying I am green behind the ears! I'm open to whatever! Can someone point me in the right direction. :)

I would have to figure it out but I think you could do even better with the intro.

Can you give an example of the vegas video player? Currently there are about three flv players made in this forum that are pretty simple to make.

Well I meant I could create a picture slideshow that looks like that without a player. I can't create a vegas player. But like I was saying i want to put some examples of the videos I've created on my site! I can export video from Vegas as a .swf file but I can't export a video as a .flv. Is that a problem? Or can you convert a wmp file into a .flv file with koolmoves?

You need a flv first to import.

can one of these work. (i am not sure of what you are using is.)

This is a free encoder that I use to encode windows media file to flv with. I beleive the extention that I use is wmv.

Some time ago someone asked for a swf to flv converter. I know there are some for sale but I have not heard of free ones.
