Embedding a .swf into a .fla file

I need to see if there is any way that I can embed a .swf into a different .fla file. I can't use any external loading scripts the .swf needs to actually be in the file. I have a program that does all sorts of text effects and publishes a .swf file, but I want to be able to put the text that I create into a flash movie with a cool background.

If there is a way to do this I would really appreciate any help.

Go to File>Import. You will lose any actions if there are any but you will still have the animation. I often times do that to get Text effects from Swish into Flash. You might want to create a new movie clip and then import the SWF into that.
