Hi all. Short scenario here of what I'm doing so it'll help with the diagnosis...I'm redesigning our website, creating separate .swf movie files for each page and loading them into the main .swf as the links are pressed. I've been working on our 'about' page. The problem I've been having difficulty with is in working with dynamic text. I've noticed that when I use the 'set dynamic text' command it has a limit to how much text will be displayed...it cuts short some text that I type in and only allows about 3/4 of what I typed to be shown, my dynamic text box is set to html format. So to get around that I thought I would try the 'Load Dynamic Text' from a '.txt' file ...well that solved the problem of showing the full amount of text that I wanted to show. However, it shows the text perfectly in the dynamic text box when I preview the .swf movie by itself in KoolMoves, but when I load my 'main' movie up that loads up the .swf movie for the about page, the text does not appear....WHY? For the moment, I am loading .txt files off my hard drive to test the menu system before I upload it, of course then I would change the location of the 'load dynamic text' to the website address itself. Is this what is causing the text to not appear? Because I'm loading from my hard drive?

Ok...I know that one problem is kind of long, but I have one last quick question...Is there another way to cause text to appear in a predefined box that has a better scroll bar than what appears with the dynamic text box? The dynamic text box doesn't use up and down arrows to move the scroll bar, and I've noticed the grab scroll bar in a dynamic text box does not reset to its top position if you reload the box with different text.

Thanks in advance for any great advice... :)

I didn't read every word but I recommend using the Content Pane component instead of dynamic text. It looks better and behaves better.
