camera to flash

hey all,
got a Q. is it at all possible to somehow connect a camera to the computer, and get flash to import video directly from it and not from a file? this could be a real time video shooting and not recorded clips, if that matters.
I would like to be able to open a flash app, enter a name for the video clip, choose my video camera or microphone as a source and when i finish importing the source material have the app compile it as an flv file.
doable? possible? stupid question?

Yeh this is possible but only with an FMS/FVSS, you obviously couldn't do this with progressive delivery..
