I'm using KM 5.6.3 with WinXP SP2. When I click on a frame in the Frame Bar, the cursor automatically jumps to the Selection Scope selector in the Tools bar. I've poked around in the preferences and configuration to see if I've inadvertently turned this on, but I can't find anything that seems to match up. Is this normal UI behavior (and I just have to deal) or do I have an incorrect configuration? TIA!

[Edit] I've been investigating this a little further. It looks like I only see this behavior when I have the Properties panel open. Hope that helps!

What is the Frame Bar and what are you clicking on in the Frame Bar? What brand mouse are you using?

Thanks for the reply, Bob. I'm using a Logitech wireless mouse (I can get the exact model info when I'm home today). The behavior happens when the Properties panel is open, and I click anywhere in the Score/Timeline (not just the Frame Bar portion in the white area) or Navigation Bar. I worked around it by just closing the Properties window after using it.

Tried this on two computers and no. Also on one computer tried with touchpad and corded mouse saw nothing weird

I'll check to see if the mouse has a configuration problem tonight. During installation, I tried to make sure I only installed a "mouse device" rather than using all the bells and whistles. I'll let you know. Thanks for checking it.

I turned off the Logitech mouse extras last night, but the behavior still persisted. I want to try a couple of additional tweaks to see if the problem goes away. If not...I do have a workaround.

Took a bit, but I finally figured it out. A mouse property exists in WinXP that automatically moves a pointer to a default position. I opened Start>Settings>Mouse Properties and clicked Pointer Options. I deselected the Snap To checkbox and all is well. I have a feeling that I probably shouldn't have run into it in the first place. The Snap To text reads "Automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog box"...which doesn't really apply to the KoolMoves UI. Weird. At least it's fixed on my machine now.
