Thoughts on how to generate this effect?

I have three images that I want to transition through on my site.
They are part of the site's GUI and not a gallery or anything like that.

The three different images need to show one at a time and I want it to look like I've lost the tv signal and tuned into a new image...Any thoughts on how I could generate this effect?

It just hit me...I could simply create a movieclip with the three images to loop but any thoughts on how to generate the static transitions?

oooo I figured it out....It's not static like an empty tv channel but it's a pretty decent transition. I'll post it when it's ready.
