So now I have one completed website, and the audacity to call myself a designer (it only takes the audacity I'm told), my nice little one-size-fits-all html script suddenly doesn't look so tasty.

Now, having to know everything about everything, which school do designers go to to learn how to have one site that looks absolutely awesome on every browser? Is there some magic code and if so, why doesn't flash make all out movies look brilliantly compatible with every browser? Why don't we all just make peace and decide not to sue each other for patents, and just agree to be friends? :grouphug:

Ok, so without pulling more hair out, how exactly can I get my 1000 x 700 size movie to stop cutting off at the bottom and just fit on the page? Do I have to shrink it? I don't care if it has black space around it, as long as you can find the buttons down the bottom in something other than mozilla, and the player at the top right loads. I don't even care if you re-size it and it looks funny. Just the latest versions of ie, firefox and safari would be greeatttt.

If you are looking at it in IE, then you can click the invisible buttons at the bottom, but dude, they aren't actually supposed to be invisible. There are five white menu buttons at the bottom. If you right click and then zoom in and then zoom out, you can see them.

I've been to all the links and answers and I've published it six different ways from sunday, but I can't get it, and I know someone else around here can give me some answers!

And I can't do snippits. You literally have to speak to me like I'm a one year old.

A quick fix would be to scale the Flash movie as you scale the browser size;

I removed <param name="scale" value="noscale" /> as you probably know it stops it from scaling. I also added a 10px margin round the movie in the CSS and set the bg color to black. When using bitmap images you don't really want to scale a Flash movie as the quality can appear poorer on large screen resolutions but it might help for now.

I didn't know it stopped it from scaling....but that's interesting. Thanks for the quick fix

How does it look now? Anyone?

When I pull it up in my browser it distorts all the gifs....what if I increase the pixels around the edge? hmm..
