Set line length with dynamic text

Hi,

Does anyone know how to get the length of a line to reflect the value of a number in a dynamic text input?

I have a button which increases a dynamic text input by 1 each time it is pressed. I want my line to get longer everytime the number changes.

Any ideas?

How are you making your line?
Also, are you using ActionScript 3?
