I just started using KM last week and love it! Great stuff. I do have a few questions and I apologize if they have already been addressed (though I've tried to look through the help, manual and this forum).

1. Say I want to move a text box 10 frames to the left. Is there someway to do this without having to click "shift left" ten times? If you've got 60 frames in the scene and want to go from the end to the beginning, it seems there should be an easier way to do this?

2. When I copy an object from one scene to another, it pastes as the same object. When I change the properties of the object in the second scene, it changes the original one in the first scene (for example renaming the object). Is there a way to copy items and have them be independent?

3. Another copy-paste problem. Say I've got text which changes color for 10 frames. I'd like to copy that text object (all ten frames) and paste it (all ten frames) so I can have a second text box which behaves like the first without having to manually enter each property again. When I try to do this, only one frame is pasted. I try to copy the other frames and it assigns each to a new object.

4. Finally, I'm having trouble with changing the properties objects in multiple frames. I use the selection scope for all frames, then try to change the objects position and it doesn't change them. Also, just to note, it looks like there's some bug with the position. It seems to keep the previous frames position in the properties box until you click twice, but then it sometimes doesn't like the new position I input. Anyone know of this issue?

I'd appreciate any help!

Thanks,

Part of your problem is you are thinking of the KM timeline like the Flash timeline and it's not. Koolmoves only shows KEYFRAMES. So to move something over 10 frames you put it on two KEYFRAMES with TWEENING set to 10 then on the second KEYFRAME move it to the second position.

as to your 2nd question. If your object is a symbol (see properties) then this is the expected behavior, set symbol to NO and then it changes on one frame will not effect others and you will tween between them.

Thanks for getting back with me.

I'm not sure I understand your answers. If I have a movie that is 60 frames long and I've got a text box that is only contained in the last 10 frames and now I want to move all of that from frames 50-60 to the beginning of the movie (1-10), how can I do that faster than hitting shift left 50 times?

For the second question, what if the object is text? It doesn't seem to have the Is a Symbol property?

Thanks,

I've never had a movie with more than 10 KEYFRAMES. Keep in mind with tweens set to 10 this would be 100 frames. If you are making 50-60 keyframes you might want to reconsider your workflow.
