can't drag MC / btn/grafs/ from the lib

Hi,


I've got a real bad problem!!!

I can't drag anything from my library on the stage. Why is that??? If anyone knows please help me.

you can't drag it?
does flash crash than?
maybe you had the trial and now running it on a patch?

no flash doesn't crash but it refuses to insert it on the stage

it is not a trial, it's the full one but i don't know whay

be sure you have fla file selected, and drag it into the main stage
does flash say anything?

I don't want to drag .fla to the stage

i have my library with my symbols and i want to drag them to the stage

these symbols are movie clips, graphics, or buttons

but, you can't drag the symbols to nothing if you know what i mean!

i already have symbols in my lib. And i can swap symbols i have to others but i can't drag new symbols to the stage

i'm having the same exact problem you are. i've started building a movie, and then at some point dragging and dropping symbols into the movie doesnt work....I have been having the problem sporadically, but now i cant get work at all...(flash 5 on g4 mac, 512 memory)

I've tried quitting, restarting, allocating more memory, starting a new movie with fewer symbols... i've tried adjusting memory up to exorbitant levels and back down again.
i'm about to try reinstalling the app....I did install 5.0a, but have the same problems with 5.0. This problem feels like some sort of memory management problem, i've seem similar mysterious problems when working in director.

hopefully someone has an answer soon....

this seems to be the problem....I am running system 9.0.4.

I wasnt able to find the invisible "drag" folder they were talking about, but trashing the finder prefs and restarting seems to work.....so far.

Well i didn't find the invisible one neither but i found a visible one and erased that one and restarted it an it works
