background
Have made a small 'splash' and need help with the white bground showing through.
1/ Have made both FP and Swish the same bgrd. colout using RGB
2/ Checked measurement in both programs, so that they are the same.
3/ Checked borders in graphic program so that that is not overhanging
4/ Have imported a 'ragged'edge banner, for the splash bground, and
then filled in the 'ragged' edge with the bground colour.
5/ Ok in FP/Swish when previewed.
6/ White area around whole splash when viewed on browser, or site.
7/ View @ http://test4pk.tripod.com
Help would be much appreciated, have spent more time than I can really afford on this one, still learning, and having fun with Swish.
Thanks:(

i think you did not export your swi right.
try this --
1] click the panel pad choose export
2] on the export panel (bottom right side) click on "window" button onthe right of window mode
3] choose transparent
4] export your swi to swf
after that, you shouldn't see any more white background.
just my 2¢-worth
p/s: i meant panel TAB, sorry :)

All web pages have a 5 pixel border surrounding them.
To remove the border replace your <body> tag with
Code:
<BODY TOPMARGIN=0 LEFTMARGIN=0 RIGHTMARGIN=0 MARGINWIDTH=0 MARGINHEIGHT=0 scroll=no>

when i went to the site earlier to view the movie, the image with the ragged edges was on a white rectangle, and the whole was on that blue bg, frets :)
petak, it would be nice in future if you post your response to suggestions offered by our fellow-members, not just as a sign of courtesy, but also so as not to confuse others. :)

re bgrd
Sorry to have offended you, with a 'no response' I did, but Outlook for some reason went belly up and needed reloading, did not find this out until this morning.
So thank you, yes, your answer was what was needed, worked perfectly.
As I use XP are there any particular tricks I need to apply - I have just been loading through the 'plug in':scared:

An html document gets the swf background color from the object embed tag.
You need a complete object embed tag to display the proper color.
a few extra lines of code won't hurt your page and will insure that the swf is displayed properly in all browsers.

feel free to ask more questions, but if they are going to be on html, perhaps you'll want to post them at backend/scripting. i've helped another member there and will help you if i know how.
cheers!

background the end!!?
Gave some more thought to using the 'plug in' in FP Prof.2002, and after reading and reading the Swish Help files [have printed out the lot] this was my breakfast reading this morning, came up with the thought - my image was moved down & to the right - so checked that space in the Export Tab [movies] - have tried out on a test page with a few quick images, and that also works. Will post some problems with HTML in the forum you suggested. Thank:D

the pleasure is entirely mine, sir :)
