How Do i animate text as if being written?

Hi guys and gals,

was wondering if its possible to animate text in either font or written with a brush to look as if its being written on the screen by hand? would be really cool to know how to do this for a flash project i have going,

It would have a lot to do with complex masking. It takes a lot of work and time and patience but the results can be great. Frame by frame could be thesolution but if you have text that can be easily masked with a tween I'd do that.
