Dynamic text field weirdness

Just thought I'd share this 'feature' (my web connection is SUPER slow today, or I'd do a thread search to see if this was posted) that I ran into:

When creating a dynamic text field, it only seems to respect the treatment (bold, etc) if auto-kerning is turned off (by default it's on).

e.g. field on the stage with an instance name of 'whatever', fonts embedded, set to bold...
whatever.text = "my text"; --> will only display properly if "auto-kern" is turned off.

Has anyone else run into this? Just wondering if that's a known bug and if there's other 'features' I may run into while working with dynamic fields before I waste another 30 minutes trying to figure out why something that should work, isnt. Thanks. ;P
