Anyone have any good advice or tutorials on how to create an interactive map that magnifies the area that is rolled over? I've been doing alot of searching and I'm about to settle on just making a hard edged mask with a magnified layer underneath it .
I'd really really really appreciate any advice or tips.

Another way to do it would be to place a cutout of the area(s) to be magnified over the actual area, and expand those on rollover.
A mask would probably take the same amount of time to do also.
