connection problem
i m new to this flash com business .... i m trying a sample whiteboard application but its not working poperly... this is the errot that i see in the administrative console
Resource limit violation. Rejecting connection to : whiteboard
what does that mean..
-
Usually that means that your trial license has expired :(
When you install flashcom, the trial starts as soon as it's finished installing, unless at the very end of the install you turn off the option to "start the service now".

It's just like the other mm trials, once you've gotten your 30 days out of it, it's done. I don't know what you'd have to do to reinstall it.

format or reinstall windows ! :)

are you using the flashcom service by any other application too?
because if trial version is over then your flashcom service wont start.
to check this scan ports of your system and check in that, if you can see flashcom in the list.
hope this helps.

in the admin console, what does it say in the license tab?
Do you get something at the bottom like:
Code:
product category: ???
license category: ???
version: ???
if u do, then u might need to configure server.xml

in my WIndows Task Manager . it shows does show the two services as started FlashCom.exe and FlashComAdmin.exe
and in the licence part ...
product category:Flash Communication Server Professional Edition TRIAL edition TRIAL: expires Tue Jan 21 06:25:14 GMT-0600 2003
it shows Todays date but i m experiancing this problem for over a month
licence category:Max Connections: 0 Max Bandwidth (mbps): 10
version:1.0 d460
how to configure server.xml?
-
memon2k - normally you shouldn't have to do anything to the server.xml unless you plan on setting up vHosts and such. By default you should be good to go.
If you've been unable to connect for the past month, I think about the best you can do would be to contact someone at Macromedia and explain the situation. They are usually really cool about helping out with stuff like that.
