Difference - Swish Max2 & 3D

It seems 3D no time line. I want to build a Vertical Menu tree. It seems that 3D has no TimeLine. Not sure what the difference is but it seems to me Swish Max2 would be the way to go for a menu system. Not sure if I'm right.

Where can I find tutors on building Vertical, Menu tree style, menus.

3D ?? ...do you mean SWiSH max3, or are you talking of someother application?

SWiSHmax3 has a timeline and it has several menu components -
...but the current release is SWiSH Max4.
