I did find out about the distorting jpg background in my site after I try to click on a button is that the button has too many movie clips within it. If there are multiple movie clips with a button then it starts to take up a lot of memory and the quality of the graphics in your main movie begins to look warped. Once I took out some movie clips the movie text, etc. didn't distort.
