/me opens his maths book :D
you really don't know or are you looking for the real function of sin cos tan? because i dont know the formula either.. i just know how to use them :)
this formula : soh cah toa
Sin x: Opposite over Hypotenuse
Cos x: Adjacent over Hypotenuse
Tan x: Opposite over Adjacent
this is a typical right angles
'''''''|\
'''''''|'\
'''''''|''\ hypotenuse
'''''''|'''\
'''''''|''''\
'''''''|'''''\
'''''''|'''''x\
''''''''-------'
adjacent
and opposite is the side on the left
well sin cos tan is a formula designed to find the angle given you have information of the sides or one of the side and the angle
i think in flash you use math.sin(blah)
where blah can be a value or a variable :D
does this help?
:)
thanks UnderTheSun that helps although some pratical examples could make me understand better :)
well..
the formula i posted before will help you remember :D
soh cah toa lol hehehe
i just searched for soh cah toa :)

here's a really strange overview about sin cos tan theorem (they look like fictional to me) but it would explain :D
http://www.physicsclassroom.com/Clas...ors/u3l1b.html
wait just check this one instead
scroll to the middle and you'll understand everything
good luck ! :D
thanks undertheSun you shouldn t really stay too much under it :D
no seriuosly cool links thanks
i was studying maths for higher school certificate trial

wish me luck 2b #1 ^^
good luck :D
