Drew, you gotta learn to use a bulletin board.
Be patient... This is not a chat room... And be more specific...
And learn to use KoolMoves while your at it.
IOW People have to understand that there is not allways someone
on this board. It is very hard to have a conversation on a BB.
And I as many others don't like responding to questions such as
Where is? How do? or being called out in a non propper fashion.
Give at least a couple days for response. If your question does
not get answered it is that we don't have an answer or too damn
confused about the question.

Now to the question:
I asked about adding this feature after a month or two of KoolMoves.
It came up during a wish list posting. The answer was no. The idea is
that the drawing process is a bit different than the Macromedia
interface. Macromedia has their own vector system that allows shaped
fills, paint brush (which in reality is a shape being drawn around
the brush shape), and other nifty but small tricks. This small
advantage keeps them ahead of the game [in drawing tools any way].
People that use these features don't want to get rid of them, thus
buying their product.
Well, I did not get the feature. And, I doubt a b---- a-- punk
or a punk a-- b---- is going to get it by demanding the feature
from Bob.
I know that you can imitate line by using the pen tool or shape
tools to draw the lines. If you need an example of what a person
can draw in KoolMoves check out my site or Necro's website.
That's all, Small Balls...

Now what did I tell you Drew?
You see: Patience is a virtue, and 50 postings a day is most definitely not. Cheers
Your requested feature is not going to happen in the next version.
what about later down the road?
I can't say. I have a very long list of things I want to add. Brushes which are not vector based don't fall high on that list.
i am sorry but i have no clue what vector base is
Graphics that are defined by their geometry (by the curves that make them up) are vector based - called Vector Graphics (used in Flash) as opposed to bitmap images (Raster Graphics) like jpg's which are made up of pixels (dots or "picture elements").
There are basically three types of drawing that you can do with Flash MX and/or Kool Moves, those being sketching, painting, and sculpting.
Sketching involves using a pencil tool to sketch or draw lines, (for which a drawing tablet comes in handy). Drawn lines however, are often shaky and unprecise. Flash provides some tools/filters to aid in smoothing out such lines, while Kool Moves does not.
Painting uses a paint brush tool which basically paints color fills into a shape. While some varying effects can be achieved using a paint brush tool, you are still basically filling a shape with color. (The paint bucket tool in KM does essentially the same thing.)
Sculpting is the most precise method of drawing and the one which is best supported in Kool Moves. Sculpting encompasses the "building" of images using the curve and endpoint adjust tools giving much greater control over how an object is constructed, exactly how many curves it has, and how each is positioned. This method works just as well with shapes (fills) as it does with lines, and provides the best overall results.
Most of the images offered on my site are sculpted:

Oh, and buy a book or something and read up a little. Not all skills and knowledge used to create Flash Movies is learned strictly from "Flash" related tutorials. Learn how to draw, learn the difference between Vector Graphics and Raster Graphics, brush up on image formats, music files, etc., etc. Then come here to ask questions about the things you don't understand or need help with.
