Player Control Animation Gone Wrong..

HEy everyone 1st Post!!!! After hours of killing myself and wanting to smash my comp. I finally signed up to these forums. Ok guys i need your dire help. I am trying to animate my character with different character states. I want to have a state for when He goes up the stage, down the stage, left and right. So far i have him going up and down. However when hes going up and down after a couple of miliseconds the animation stops.. It just looks like hes sliding. I am going to post the fla and main.as file below.
