"playlist" of files

I am creating a projector that i want to have a list of the files that can be opened. The files will be pdfs and i want to control the list. I would like to have a list much like an mp3 player does. and when you click on the button or on a name it will open the file. How would i go about creating this list in MX?
On another note is there a way to make a projector have a transparent background?
