Hi All,
I recently redid my music site. Please give it a look when you have a chance and tell me what you think...I'd also love to hear any tips from flashies on optimizing a flash only website.
Thanks, Dan

I recognize that player. Thanks for using it. Oh, and I'd be afraid to guess!Quote:

Well first of all, hats off to you for doing charity work! Here are a few problems I found with the functionality of the site. On the “Charity Nights” or the "Contact" page there are no links to “Photos”. When you navigate from “Photos” to “Contact” the Gallery centers its self over the contact form, rendering it useless. I thought the green at the bottom left would close the gallery but it seems to have no function assigned. The playlist in the media player has no visible content and when I opened it I was not able to close it. Also…The media player seems to have a click and drag option but I couldn’t figure it out. You might want to title the html.Quote:

The index .swf file is 139.9 KB ;) makes it fast to load the .flv file seems to be rather large???
Please tell me you're NOT the one in the diapers. :yikes:
Thanks paul,
This version put together from prebuilt bits, and needed revision this morning, fixed the links and removed the photos from over the contact section.(this happened as a function of a paste action, which I had not noticed, thanks. As for the media player, in Bob's skin the playlist is available, but in this case not used. As for the size of the flv, sadly it is what I was given, but I will try to thin it down.
No diapers more the meatloaf guy on the vid.
If you want the playlist button to go away, in the load.as for the player, change this:Quote:

You can change it back later if you need it.Code://setPlButton(-2,0,'pls','pls','pls',false);
That would be for the volume & timeline. The timeline will only go as far as what has downloaded.Quote:

Here is another example of the media player in action, in this case it is used to promote the use of this guys forum before they buy his products from the shop that I built for him.

The site looks very nice.
Did he shoot the video himself? The "set" and the top light are really awful. :p
Cheers, did you see the shop?Quote:

All the content for the shop is dynamic, so it can be amended by the user using an edit suite I built in KM, which uses php to amend the fields.
here is something else we made recently using the same technology in a different way.

Yes, I did and I'm glad that you explained in an other post how the page flip was done. It needs some getting used to, but when you do get the hang of it, it's like flipping through a real catalogue. :thumbsup:Quote:

If you follow the link on the featured artist you will see an example of what each act will be getting.
Special for Bob Goodwin - In return for all your great work with media player, if you want to feature your band we will do it for free.
You will see that it makes use of the media player in several guises, plus there are bits form Nacro too if you can spot them.
All the content is as ever dynamic, and in control of the band, including uploading their own music, vids and pics.
Let me know what you think.
Looking good Stoke.
I agree with Bret.
It looks very good
I really like this site, SL. Since the smilies lack a star, I'll rate you with :doughnut: :doughnut: :doughnut: :doughnut: :doughnut: instead!
It´s a good site Stoke, ah, a answer for you , in the site http://www.brymbokebab.co.uk what skin mp3 your used. That it hasn´t KoolMoves. Thanks. Cheers.
I changed the underlay in sunset in Paintshop pro, created a new folder, renamed the skin, and changed the name file. The One on the front of http://www.entertainers4U.com was done in the same way.
