Proud of My Work -- Wanna see?

I probably could have posted this in the Sites forum, but this isn't a site--the only time you'll ever see this is on a CD-ROM or from this link at Flashkit. :)

It was built with Flash MX. There is a little bit of scripting for the "slide shows" and background effects. Flash Studio Pro was also used to run the Flash movie in a DirectX window (yes, you need DirectX!) with resolution set to 640 x 480 x 32bit. (Also used FSP to embed a custom icon.)

Took about 3 (long!) days to put this puppy together...still waiting on possible changes from the client...

The original presentation was built on an 800 x 300 stage--I've found that building your presentations in a larger screen size than what you intend to show it in will actually improve performance. Plus, reducing the screen size with DirectX to 640 x 480 helps quite a lot!

The logo was just slapped in there for the Flashkit link. The final piece for the CD-ROM doesn't have a logo.

I'd hate to have some 'net mooch grab the EXE, lie to a potential client and say they did it! ;)

one small small detail. ( Im a detail freek )

On several of your motion tweened masks like for instance the 'wipe' over the palm trees- there is some pixel shifting happening that detracts from the overall (high) quality of your presentation.

To combat this evil pixel shifting, simply make sure that all of your images are within a MC and then make sure to set MC alpha to 99%!

Its a trick I picked up while working on a similar marketing project and I was also getting pixel shifting...and at that time i had no idea what that was or how to fix it. Now I have put it in my bag of Flash tricks and I always do the same 2 step routine when using images in my flash movies.

1. New Movie Clip with image inside
2. set alpha of that MC to 99%
