Ya man I like it! real clean looking. I like the loading screen you did also. Nice color scheme.
The site is so tight that its hard to find something to critique! Very nice: Smooth and professional.
If someone put a gun to my head and forced me to find something to comment on, it would be the text on the front page... the ragging needs some attention, and the color sort of blends in with the color of the photograph in the background- I see you've thought of that, because the image is blurred down behind the text, but its still tough to read. I don't know what the solution is, though- maybe lose the image behind it entirely, or make the font color the same brick red as the background. I dunno. It's not a site-killer: Its more of a nit-pick.
Great photography! The rug-weave stuff is curious 'cuz its not something I've put too much thought into before. Nice intro to a topic.
Whoa very nice, absolutely LOVE the colors and pics, flows nice and just a really good feel. It's one of my Favs now!
Thnx for posting some comments, and im glad you all liked it!
Taika, i know what you mean, and im glad you've pointed that comment. Cuz ive tried to change the color in the red, but black was the best option for me...(I never thought of to remove the pic ;) )
And another thing, what do you mean with nit-pick?
Thank you for replying, cause now i know im in the right direction:smoov:
Cheers
well done!
the colors, and the photos blend well together....
I have a suggestion tho, you may wanna do something about the tweaking of the "background images". If I guess it right, The alpha of the images right now changes from 0% to 100%. change it to 99% instead of 100%. this will take care of the tweaking.
but overall, it is very nice! makes me wanna buy a carpet!
WOW.... amazing man, the preloader was very cool too ;D
thnx guys,
ill change them to 99%, guess youve got a good point in there...
you guys make my day....
bok
if you select the same color twice in a row in the carpet preview section, it unloads the swatch.
other than that, nice site.
very well done! Pro stuff!
Love the design, but hate sites that maximize themselves like that! I have a dual monitor display, (not at all uncommon nowdays), and your site it maximizes itself accross the two monitores, so the actual content is half on one, half on the other, with a 3 inch gap down the middle, and totally illegable. It also cleverly tucks itself under that taskbar, so I have to disable my taskbar to be able to resize the window back into one moniture. I then click enter, and what do you know, it maximised itself again, and I have to start all over again! Infuriating!!! Why do poeple think this is a benefit to their users!?
Anyway, sorry about the rant... Once I was able to view it in a non-maximized window, it looks great... Nice job!
FANTASTIC !
Great looking site! Very smooth and clean. My only complaint would be the image on the first page. If you aren't placing any text or information over top then you should place a less blurry picture. The one you have under "profile" is MUCH shaper looking. It almost lookes like you ran the photoshop blur tool over the picture a bunch of times. You might try duplicating your layer, doing a gaussian blur on the lower half, and creating a gradient mask to give it a better blend. Just a thought :) Great colors by the way!

Thnx for replying,
@ mreckted: you said it unloads the swatch, how can i fix this?
@ melmann: Have you seen your site??:    Excellent work!
@ neil hillman: no prob about the rant, that was you comment, and that's what i asked of...im thinking about it, because i think there are not much people with 2 monitors..but on the other hand, it has to be "watchable" for everybody.
@ syko ba: glad you liked it
@ dyldebus: about the "enter"page...the carpet is sharp and blue, and the rest of the picture grey and blurry, so everyone who enters the site, knows they are in the carpetbusiness...and i dont want to ruin that with some txt above that...
@ everybody: got one question which is very bothering me: that SWF is made with 75 fps. On my comp it runs fine, and i guess (hope) on yours 2. But when im at work, and i watch the site there it lookes likes it runs at only 20 fps, and believe me --> its awfull
Does anyone has a "remedy" for this, or any clue perhaps
Thnx all for replying..I really appreciate it! :)
Cheers!
Bok
there's not really a remedy for it... anything above 30 and you start pushing your proccesor hard. 75 is a LOT of frames per second, but I've seen people use 100+ on here :)
Considering your target audience, I'd optimize it for 25-30 fps. I know that's not the answer you want... but anything less than a pentium 3 1ghz.. and you'll start to notice it jerk at that speed.
whoaa... very good... the pictures are great and smooth... but the font of the preloader number is too big... just a little thing :)
Well, I should say the site is quite real and clean. Besidez, it really lookz good, but I have some remarkz, Bokkie. First of all, I like the preloader but the numeralz are too big and I can see the sharp endz. Then, the main photo is very interestin' and excitin', but it only goez to the first one. Othrez, in the linkz, profilez are usual. That meanz, that if I were you, I would make somethin' special with the photoz. For example, added some effectz in Photoshop, etc. The next is that the music button is just on/off. I think it's better to make a whole button on/off in the one. Just to switch from "on" to "off", and from "off" to "on". It would look much better. Mind it, Bokkie. The last thin' is that the music "BarryWhi-Jason_Fi-6385_hif" isn't quite suitable for the site, I think. It needz somethin' special, calm, maybe a sound scape, etc. Think of it. It's only my thoughtz and suggestionz. But on the whole, the site is really beautiful. You've surpassed yourself!:) I like "H&B Carpets" site. Just another, nice lookin' site with fresh air of design. Keep the good work, Bokkie!;)
Thnx all,
but does anybody know, how to unload the swatch in the collection-section? :(
Cheers
