It's truly beautimous. Ingo's work makes my pants fit funny.
really good stuff... exept the opening animation for their site http://www.leos-baden-baden.de/catering/ reminds me an awful lot of http://www.losthumans.com
it does not only remind you at losthumans, it's actually based on losthumans....hi, ashley;)
Big K, everyone draws inspiration from somewhere or someone else. It's ok.
"There's nothing new under the sun". ;) It's all about the spin you put on it.
only to clear things up....i was in contact with ashley during his site relaunch....contacted him, if it's possible to use a similiar opening animation for the catering site (was a bit in a hurry because of the customer)...he send me his ok.....and was a bit flashed how good the site came out in the end.....
actually the same i do with my stuff...if people ask if they could use this and that...go ahead, you're welcome......;)
can see what you mean... yet i dont find the link between those two and 24-7.Quote:

Love this one on their portfolio;

My question for deepcode would be how did you get that customer, the caterer? I'm pleasantly surprised to see a normal business buy a flash site, as opposed to companies looking for a product launch site that they want to hit people in the head with. What would you say mattered to them in regards to flash -vs- html?
Thanks.:)
I am a firm believer in the concept that nothing is truly 'yours'. You find inspiration everywhere and ideas may come out at any time without you actually knowing what brought them on. 'deepcode1' contacted me and asked me if it was cool to use the effect and I was like sure def use it. If you look through my portfolio I'm sure you will all kinds of effects that I have pulled from places whether knowingly or not. You can def tell who my faves are.
BTW: The 24-7 feel rox, beautiful imagery.
Got the link on wow-factor.com.
Not bad indeed, it reminds me of wrecked.ru (or something like that - flashkit site of the day).
Great pictures but I hate the fly!!!!

what a rip off of
http://www.graffodisiak.com under "make friends" at the bottom tab menu.
I have yet to figure out how that is a rip in ANY way. I'm puzzled.Quote:

sorry to p!ss on your fire so to speak, but this is an ancient style.... so saying its a rip is a load of bull.
do your research, and look up companies such as robinsons jam and look at the old golly wog and teddy bear work.
like was said above, everybody draws inspration... and nobody can be 100% unique... its impossible... remember the film pump up the volume? well... if you havent seen it. go rent it out.
How about I not go look up companies such as robinsons jam and say that just you posting this only solidifies this as a rip on style... as in not unique... and YES you CAN be unique... and YES it IS possible. And to prove this, I'm sure if created a design using pinup girls with a a noise-filled background, I'd get some heat about it as well. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.Quote:

oh yeah... go rent CLUE... I mean... get one.
do you even know what a rip is?
a rip is when people actually use the contents of your website, or that thier parts of thier site are so close to yours that there is hardly any difference at all.
people get influenced by other people.
are you saying you dont have influences and yet still produce great work? if thats true then you need to do world class seminars because even greats like satchi, carson, brody etc all have influences. so your obviously one step ahead.
its impossible to be 100% origional.
but what you can do is take old ideas and add your own twist to them, which is exactly what everyone does... from 2A, whoswe, juxt, they have all used ideas from print graphics, and even other websites.
That form of art, is ONE of the many forms of art there is in the world. It was brought out during the 1920s in the US during the "Golden Years". (Before the Depression.)
To say that it is a rip, also means that: ALL Conceptual art are rips. ALL paintings of flowers are rips. ALL portraits are rips. ALL drawings of mechas are rips. ALL 3D drawings are rips. etc. etc. etc. ;)
lol.. that's the way I look at it.

people are angered so easily now-a-days.
great site btw.
Excellent, excellent stuff.
Haven't seen a really impressive site in a while, but some in their portfolio are really nice.
Love Time out one even though it is 100% Designer's Republic ( Wipeout on PS ) style, so often imitated. Nonetheless it looks great.
