Help on making this crack...

umm.. i'm not at all great at photoshop.. and i'm wondering if any of you can help me create a crack like the one in the attached image...

hmmm, i would mess with the burn tool, and sharpen the area.

Hi I would use some photoshop brushes added to a grey background with monocromatic noise added then slightly blurred (look in filters)

here are some I made (they are free)

just spray some of these over the background

that should do it
