Costa Rica

I have been so busy since I get back preparing to go away again I haven't had a chance to really go through my photos yet. I am leaving tomorrow for Japan for a week and then Australia for 4 months so I am not sure how much I will be around, depends on how quickly I find accommodation in Sydney.

the frog one is really funny. don't know why, but the facial expression and posture just make me laugh.

your wildlife photography is simply amazing.

That sloth one was the only one out of about 20 shots that was any good. The trouble with Rainforests are they are so dark and hand holding at 400mm even in bright light isn't easy :p

And that tree frog was pretty much the only frog we saw (considering costa rica is renowned for its variety of tree frogs and poision arrow frogs which I really wanted to see) and it was outside our hotel window.

They have about 40 species of humming birds and at one place the air was just vibrating from the buzz as about 20 hummingbirds zoomed past your head. It was quite a magical experience.

Working in a lab unit at The Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick, Sydney. Doing what exactly... I don't know :p

ctranter, I hate you, nah I don't I just hate your cameras :p

then again I don't, I love'em, great shots, Frog is my favorit for the -old lady looking out of a window- feel, and the rest are just amazing

What is a gap year?

year out between school/college and uni (i assume that's what he means). is it not called a gap year in the US?

no. a gap year is called 'trying to find yourself' otherwise known as being lazy ;)

wait everyone takes a year off between high school and college?(or whatever you called it over there) The people who I know that did that just never ended up going to college got caught up in the working life.

not everyone, no, but a fair few. probably a fairly high percentage. most people use that year to go travelling, see a bit of the world. or a sensible few (read boring) use it to work and save up some money to help see them through uni.

Hey I worked for a few months before I went! and I am working out in Aus It's not all travelling :p: I'm sensible too :D

but yeah, bascially mine was a 'forced' gap year. Because I didn't get the uni course I wanted I reapplied this year (though still didn't get the course I wanted :( ).
