Sorry, don't have a server to put a file up on right now. So here the basic set up in my .swi file.

I can get the masking to work.

I used a merged shape as the mask to mask out another merged shape. Created a sprite with both objects and place the masking shape at the bottom of the layer stack....

I dnld'd the .swi file, but couldn't load it into swish2.0 to check things out.

I've only seen this when using tables and telling them to auto-stretch.
