For the moment I will cheat until I figure out what went wrong. Will be some thing I have missed but have time on my hands to get there. :D

since this idea is not working - is there a better way (or maybe should I say easier way) of doing this. Could I just place the text straight into the dynmaic box instead of the text files?

OK - have done that but still no joy.

I have put the text as arial just in case it was the font - I have selected all characters and only have the html put pressed down.

I have just double checked the swf file and the text - works... so I re-embeded it in a html file and did preview again and still no joy.

OK i used dreamweaver and embedded the swf file into the HTML page. When I loaded it on the web I placed the txt files in the same area as the swf file.

some more details - The txt file does not show up when I publish the movies but the text is there when I test the movie.

I have created a scroll text box with buttons. The text file is imported in and when I test the movie it all works.

The problem is when I publish the movie it will not work.

What am I missing?...
