Here's an idea: You can load your swf's into blank movie clips that you have on your stage. That way the top left corner of the swf will load where the mc is placed and you can put the mc's...

have you named all of your frames? and if so have you put those names in the Target box of GetURL?

i think that _level0 and _root are the same thing...that could be a problem

if your buttons are in movie clips then you have to target the main timeline
_root.gotoAndPlay("Preloader",1)
