If I understand you correctly, you should remove the "On release" action and replace it with a simple goto frame 1 of scene 3 after your word effect has completed. That should fix your problem. If...

the only way to use animated gif is to break it down into individual gifs, and import each one into swish. then using the hide/show commands to switch between each gif with 1 frame interval...

If I'm not mistaken, you can export/save your work done in photoshop as .ai file, and then import them to swift3d. exporting as .eps can be imported to swift3d aswell. this should work for both PS5.5...
