Thanks. I use mostly cheap chinese strobes ,and also a rather cheap Polish one called Micro. The two first images is just a umbrella with the Micro, camera left.

Those are very nice. Using the Lens Blur filter would give more realism , looking like a real lens than Gaussian Blur, as it can mimic the unsharp highlights in a realistic way.

The first one is very nice, I like this kind of moody lighting. The pose and window is also contributing.

Continuous light sources are usually to weak to compete with a Flash, and they often have different light temperature, so it makes it hard to fix the white balance in post.

They also get very warm...

I use quite a lot of Dodge and Burn. On the example attached a little more than usual =) ( its all 5 dodge and burn layers composited )

There are 5 adjustment layers , for detail...

They havent failed me yet. They are only for studio use though. Outside they are no good. Then I use the cheap Cactus triggers.

Most studioflashes has optical triggers. So the light from one will trigger the other/s

I use a simple $30 IR transmitter to trigger all my cheap china flash

An exe is a standalone player ( projector ) so it will work there, as its supposed to. But not when the swf is embedded in html.

Image quality looks the same. I went from 350d to 450d,got scared as the image quality ( when everything was set to zero ) seemed lower than 350d, and traded up to a 40d just to see it was the same....
