1. does this work on a mac (safari, firefox, camino, opera)?
2. it took a good 30 seconds of being on the site before the dd menus worked

by default, flash occupies the top layer in a browser. wmode transparent or opaque only works in ie, i believe.

i've seen it in action a number of times, most recently at http://www.target.com. I've never seen a reliable cross browser/os tutorial for it; and no, it's not wmode=transparent.

i have a flash movie 400x400 pixels with an onClipEvent that triggers based on mouse position. works fine on all browsers except safari. when the movie loads and the mouse is anywhere on the stage...

they should make it as quick and efficient as possible. just what they need. the flash player and nothing else. superfluous items should be opt-in and not opt-out options.

if a user is prompted to download the flash player from adobe, is there a way or a link to just have someone download the player by itself without having to uncheck the yahoo toolbar or some other...
