Rick,
If you're exporting your animations with mesh shading you will run into this problem more often than not. I have not figured out why it happens but basically Flash is skipping a few of the...
-
Another way to do this is to import your animation into a new movie clip (hit ctrl + F8, or go to Insert, Movie Clip, then hit ctrl+r to import the SWF exported from Swift) then go back to the main...

After you have grouped your objects you will still have to apply/drag and drop the same animation to each item/object individually. Sorry as far as I can figure out this is the only way to animate...
-
you might want to try and download the latest build from the customer only site accessed via the help menu in Swift. If you have not already done so. This might help.
Hope this helps

OpieNC,
I do it that way because it's quicker and easier when I have a complex animation involving more than one keyframe, such as the Zig Zag animation (which has 6 keyframes), that I have to...

Import your exported animation into a new movieclip in Flash. CTRL + F8 will create a new movieclip. While in the new MC import your SWF exported from Swift: press CTRL + R locate the file and select...

Hey,
That message shows up in the first keyframe of almost every animation exported from Swift. All you need to do is delete that keyframe.

Hey,
I have experienced this problem once before myself. What I found is that if you goto your Setup menu and select Materials you'll get dialog box where you can add your own catagories and create...

What I like to do is, in Flash, create a new movie clip and import my Swift animation (exported as an .SWF)into that. This way it is easier to manage on the main line and stage. Also, because it is...
-
Yes. All you need to do is create a new Movie Clip in Flash and then import the SWF file you exported from Swift3D into it. Form here just drag the Movie Clip onto the main timeline and you can...

Another way is to use Flash to create your 2D models and them export them as either an .AI or .EPS file into Swift. One problem I see about exporting from PhotoShop is that it is primarily a pixel...

When you export you'll get a dialog box, there you'll find an option to export outlines, select that then either outline only or entire mesh and then deselect the fill option. This should do the...
-
Ooops! Sorry about that. Go to the Customer Only site via the help menu in Swift and there you can download the lastest build which I believe is 47. That should do the trick. Once again sorry about...

No, unfortunately the only option to speed up an animation is to increase the Frames Per Second. Which can be a bit of a pain as the FPS setting runs across the board in Flash...that is if you set...
-
I usually change my frame rate in Flash. Just double click on the fps window in the bar between the stage and the timeline. A dialog box will appear and at the top is where you'll be able to change...

Hey avalanche165,
Looks great. There are two things that I notice right away that will cause a large file...first is the Font and bevels, the more curves and angles you have the more polys you'll...

Hey bzed,
Thanks for the kind words. To answer your question it took me about a half hour to complete the entire thing. The bulk of that time was positioning the letters around the sphere. But once...

Here's a quick example of how I got text to appear to wrap around an object.

It's a bit tedious but it works. I first started with the sphere then added...

Another way to scale your animation in Flash is to import your animation into a new movie clip and then scale that clip on the main stage...this will save you the trouble of having to scale each and...
-
when you export from Flash, export as either an .EPS or .AI file. Anything with a fill will import into Swift with a default grey fill and non-filled shapes will import as open shapes.
Hope this...
-
If you import your animation directly into a movie clip you can then easily tween the colour of your animation with the Instance properties and it will effect the entire animation on the stage while...

My vote is with Mr. Ropper with Jack Tripper as VP.
Hope they win! Because Three's Company....

When you export from Swift under output options select Include Edges and then select entire mesh and then deselect Fill options. This should do the trick.
Hope this helps,
