Going from platform to platform is easy...I do this daily as I work on a Win2k PC at home and then go work on my Mac G4 at work.
All I do is just make sure when working on MAC to name my file...

If your sound is event based it doesn't matter if it has enough frames to play out...it will hit the first frame with the event sound and play the sound in its entirety regardless of how many frames...

Try reinstalling Flash...I use Flash on both MAC and PC and have yet to encounter an error similar to what you speak of.

Well if you absolutely need the sound to sync with animation then using streaming as the setting will ALWAYS drop frames to keep up with the sound on slower systems. On a fast PC this will not occur...

Sure can....you can have any number of MC's playing at once...just don't overdo it or you can bog down slower PC's...have fun.

That is why we have movie clips...just make your animation and place it on the timeline...it will loop endlessly if you don't put a stop action in your MC. If you want it to loop in your movieclip...

I figured it out...I just used a PNG of and made a feathered edge and imported that back into Flash...works perfectly.
